This head veiling has a comfortable headband and ties
behind the neck. Bonnet-style back has soft gathers around headband and is
open at the bottom to that hair can be worn up or down. This works well
for little girls since it can be make very small. Wonderfully comfortable
and a definite favorite for bonnet style coverings. A very unusual open
crown style bonnet that has been very popular.

Amish Heart-Shaped Bonnet - Style No. 4
This heart-shaped bonnet is a charming
reconstruction of an age-old tradition worn by
the Amish. Its bonnet style back has a distinctive heart shape with delicate gathers
forming around the headband. The bottom of this bonnet can be drawn in with ties to cover
a bun or left open to let braids or hair hang long. It features the traditional band
that sits on the back of the head, covering the bun and ties under the
chin.

This open band is very feminine and easy to wear. It is designed with two ruffles on either side of the headband (approximately 1" in the back and 1.5" in the front) It lays comfortably over the head and ties (not shown) behind the neck. It works well with hair in any style (up or down). It features button holes on the underside of the brim to insert bobby pins or hair clips.

The coif was originally worn in Europe as an under covering to which long flowing veilings were attached. In America, it was first worn by women of the Plymouth Colony in the 17th century. This covering is a scarf and cap-like combination that ties behind the head to bring in the fullness. It is very lightweight and comes completely lined. Its comfortable and practical style covers well and makes it appealing to country and simple lifestyles.

This covering is a charming reproduction of the day cap worn in Colonial America during the 1700's. It has a gathered crown attached to a narrow headband and pleated ruffled along the front edge. Elastic draws in the fullness of the crown making it set perfectly over hair coil, bun, or braids. It sits comfortably on the head and features hair clip insertion on the underside of the headband for pins or clips. A satin ribbon runs along the headband and ties into a delicate bow at the top.
